Meet David.
A marriage and family therapist who believes therapy is about living true to who you are — and whose greatest joy is walking with people toward hope and healing.
My approach
Life can feel overwhelming at times. My hope is that in our work together you feel genuinely listened to, accepted, and supported — because your story matters. We'll explore how your experiences, strengths, and values have shaped you, and build on the resilience you've already shown.
I work with teens, couples, and adults navigating stress, anxiety, sadness, past hurts, or major life changes. Therapy with me is more than just talking; it's about discovering what helps you live in a way that feels true to who you are. Whatever brings you here, we'll work side by side to find new ways forward.

Where I've been
My path began at California State University, Long Beach, where I majored in Psychology with a minor in Child Development and Family Studies. I intentionally sought out coursework on cultures different from my own — a choice that shaped how I practice today, grounding my work in genuine curiosity about and respect for people of every background.
While earning my degree, I worked at an emergency center for youth. It was some of the most impactful work I've done: meeting young people and families from all walks of life in moments of real crisis, and seeing firsthand that the right support at the right time can change the direction of a family's future. That experience still informs how I show up for clients every day.
I went on to earn my master's at Chapman University, in a nationally accredited program known for its rigor. Chapman's emphasis on multidisciplinary training meant collaborating across departments and alongside other healthcare providers — an approach I've carried into my practice, where I value working as part of a client's broader circle of care.
Since graduating, I've had the privilege of giving back to the field: providing trainings for fellow mental health therapists and organizations, and guest lecturing at the university level. Teaching keeps me sharp, keeps me current, and keeps me connected to why I do this work.
